Port Macquarie's 2022 Economic Outlook

Port Macquarie is located on the North Coast of NSW, 400km north of Sydney city, and 500km south of Brisbane city. With varied landscapes from stunning beaches to lush hinterland rainforests, Port Macquarie is a famous destination for tourism. Port Macquarie has a population of over 85,000 people and is one of the fastest-growing regions in NSW. Its strong economy is driven by its coastal appeal, which draws in both tourists and new residents, alongside ongoing infrastructure investments that have enhanced the town's liveability and business environment. The town's location between Sydney and Brisbane, coupled with good transport links and a regional airport, has made it an accessible hub for commerce and travel.

Port Macquarie is one of the fastest growing areas in the Hunter region with its economic strength built upon the diverse natural resources, and key industrial sectors trading in water, timber and agriculture.  Because of this, Port Macquarie's economic outlook for 2022 looks optimistic. Port Macquarie is a long-established community supporting almost 30,000 jobs with an economic output of close to $10 billion annually.  The local government, through the Port Macquarie-Hastings Council, plays a significant role in promoting business development and attracting investment, while also focusing on maintaining the town's environmental sustainability. This balanced approach to growth is part of what makes Port Macquarie an appealing place for new businesses and entrepreneurs seeking opportunities outside of major metropolitan centres.

It has been a thriving centre of tourism for many years, as well as hosting lively commercial and retail districts. Port Macquarie sells approximately 40% more services and product to customers outside of the region than what is imported. The region is land-locked by Kempsey Shire in the north and surrounded by the Tasman Sea in the east.

As seen in the Financial Review and the Courier Mail.

Lloyds commences the engagement process with a business appraisal, confidentiality agreement, followed by meetings between the buyer and multiple vendors. Port Macquarie, located on the mid-north coast of New South Wales (NSW), is a picturesque coastal town that has grown into a thriving regional centre. Known for its natural beauty, relaxed lifestyle, and rapidly expanding economy, Port Macquarie is becoming an increasingly attractive destination for residents, tourists, and businesses alike. Over the years, the local economy has diversified from its traditional focus on agriculture and tourism to include sectors like healthcare, education, and real estate, contributing to the town's sustained growth and prosperity.

Lloyds' team of qualified business brokers commences the marketing process with a highly targeted marketing campaign to identified prospective buyers. They then screen and qualify prospective buyers. Finally they negotiate multiple qualified offers.

Our team of specialists work with prospective vendors and third party advisors through all aspects of the sale process, including deal structuring and negotiation of sale terms.

We would love to work with you!
